Let's just say, I might have earned the badge of honor in the "furniture whisperer" category, for this repair! Poor fella suffered a clean break to the front, base portion of its wood frame. The already handsomly "weathered" brown leather, was torn in the process. After all was repaired I have to admit, I think the couch is even more handsome now! I'm turning out to be a jack-of-all trades after all.

I call them "bones"

I often refer to pieces as having good bones! I see the beauty in the "bones!" "BONES": The foundation, structure of. The sense of what is to come. Acknowledging a space, object, piece of furniture and its endless potential! 

Seeing things from a different perspective than most, I have learned is often referred to as "thinking outside of the box." I LIVE outside of the box! :)  

You see a file organizer and I see a lovely home for vines, ivy and an orchid to top it off. This also made a fun project for me and my daughter to create together. - S

How's that for instant gray finds!

This was all found in one day and a quick layout made just so the client can see the "bones"! Next comes the fun part! Adding texture, warm and fuzzies, greenery, life, pops of color and personality with artwork, an area rug and throw pillows for example. I can go on and on but this is the first stage of much potential!! FUN!

I'm pretty amazing!! :)

From trash to treasure

Literally snatched this heavy solid wood table, curbside! Refinished it and loved it! I also refinished the armoure behind it that was $25 used and light pine. I love how I can take something and make it into whatever I want! It something special! 

Re-vamping addiction

You might overlook that "ugly grandma chair" shoved back in the garage and then I see it and fall head over heels for it!! WHY? It's not because I have bad taste (that's for sure!)  I see the bones!!! The potential! I'm a visionary so I actually KNOW GOOD BONES when I see em'!  I visualize the finished product in my mind as clear as can be and can sketch it out with different options such as colors and fabrics, distressed finish or shiny enamel. The possibilities are endless! This applies to everything really!
